flew out to colorado for a show my mom directed and brother acted in at East High School. That's him in costume -I didn't recognize him when he first came out on stage.

eizeh keif
undeniable, a thrill from posting my blog in hebrew, even just for a little bit
the snow drifting upwards in my office window reminds me that I'm still in NY
one perfect line from the poetry site I am editing:
A vista of vague flakes like a framed star-field
Falling in unison to unity

I got Drenched!
( note: these were taken on a Sunday afternoon's drive back from Matopos, but are posted one the date of the Sunday before I left for New York, because I saw another incredible full rainbow driving back from the Center to Bulawayo)

daily life
grocery store in town, as seen from the parking lot
the Bart doll in this car - eternally parked in lot - made me smile

Liana at Bulawayo Theater
Went with nearly 100 children from the Center to see a performance by the King George VI (KGVI) band, Liyana. Each member of this marimba band is a student at KGVI, a school for individuals with physical disabilities. The music and energy of this band is inspirational
I was first moved by Liana in November, during their rehearsal at KGVI

clark road, bulawayo
A record rainfall in Zimbabwe
The trees lined Bulawayo streets are full, lush, and green
Farms in the region have been adversely affected by the daily rain

remembering
Francess Ruvarashe Saunyama
the biggest welcoming smile
bringing people closer with bright eyes
holding onto hands and hearts, no matter age, color, religion
may her memory be for a blessing
