I celebrated the new year at the renovated synagogue in Kumalah, a neighboring suburb. Though there were occasional power cuts and water shortages, the holiday was spectacular. I promise to post more soon....

In Bulawayo

I've arrived safely in Bulawayo. My first days have consisted of afternoon tea in the Suburbs, meeting the kids and staff at the Center, and conversations with the handful of the remaining Bulawayo Jews. There is so much more to write - but I need to process before posting.
